Venture Capital projects we have either taken equity in, or assisted the take-off. Just to mention a few.
- The development of a commercial building at Banana Island, Ikoyi, Lagos State. V&T was mandated by the project promoters to provide financial advisory services and raise financing for the development of a 10 storey commercial building. In June 2005, V&T secured a US$8.4 million debt facility for the development of the building
- The development of the Palms Mall Project (an international shopping mall in Victoria Island, Lagos). V&T was responsible for raising funds for the project; and in this guise introduced the project to CDC Capital Markets (formerly Commonwealth Development Corporation, now called Actis).
- The raising of financing for the development of an internationally managed 86-room five-star business Hotel with a total project cost of approximately US$17 million (Seventeen Million US Dollars). As the sole financial adviser on this project, V&T was responsible for the identification and selection of the Hotel Management Company (HMC), the project concept, raising of funds and other associated advisory services. In closing the financing of the project, V&T raised 4 million Euros from the German Investment and Development Company (DEG). The hotel was opened in November 2003.
